Ten years of building connections in the Indo-Pacific

BUILDING CONNECTIONS

BUILDING CONNECTIONS

THE NEW COLOMBO PLAN (NCP) IS A SIGNATURE INITIATIVE OF THE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT THAT AIMS TO LIFT KNOWLEDGE OF THE INDO-PACIFIC IN AUSTRALIA BY SUPPORTING AUSTRALIAN UNDERGRADUATES TO STUDY AND UNDERTAKE INTERNSHIPS IN THE REGION.

With more than 50,000 alumni, the NCP is building a diverse and increasingly influential network of Australians with direct experience in the Indo-Pacific.

Established in 2014, the NCP is commemorating the program’s 10th anniversary through a series of events and initiatives in 2024.

2024 NCP Scholarship Awards Ceremony

The celebrations will kick off at the 2024 NCP Scholarship Awards Ceremony in December 2023, when up to 150 Australian undergraduate students will be awarded scholarships across 40 locations in the Indo-Pacific.

Through life-changing experiences and new connections, these scholars will play an important role in deepening Australia’s links with the Indo-Pacific region.

On this site, you will find information about the Awards event, success stories from the program’s 10-year journey, as well as ways to be part of the NCP Alumni Program and the wider NCP community.

The site will be updated regularly to highlight events, stories and alumni professional development opportunities relevant to the NCP community.
